    Carved Stone Probably Once A Sarcophagus Cover. With Many Intricate Carved Figures Covering The Top Indicating Possibly The Grave Cover Of A Prominent Male As Most Of The Symbols Suggest Warrior Motifs. (See Photos For More Details And Large Blowups).

  • Condition: This work is in generally good condition for age and exposure, some minor chipping at the edges, oxidation and other signs of wear and tear. Please examine photos for additional condition detail. With three red Chinese characters painted on the surface, most likely late 20th century additions.

  • Note: This work is sold with no guarantees as to age or attribution. Please examine carefully. With a strong specially constructed plywood backed frame with french cleats to accommodate most any hanging requirements. Stone is mounted at the back only with the edges fully clear of any attachment. Edge shows some remains of putty or similar material which probably was used to seal the tomb for protection against insects, etc.The work weighs about 100 lbs. 60kg.
