"Canto 33" From "Divine Comedy: Paradise" woodblock print printed in colors on BFK Rives paper after original watercolors by the artist, c. 1963, signed in blue pencil,
numbered "150/150 from a special edition signed in colored pencil published in conjunction with F.A.R. Gallery, New York, as published by Les Heures Claires, Paris et. al.
- Condition:In generally very good condition, the full sheet, some minor edge browning just noticeable verso.
- Sheet: 13 1/4 by 9 in. ( 32 x 23.5 cm.)
- References: Recorded and illustrated in the field catalog of the legitimate graphics of the artist, pg. 200.
- Framing: Sold unframed
- Note: Part of a set signed in New York with colored pencil as noted in Field's catalog on page 192. The first sets to be signed were printed without the customary block signature and were signed in colored pencil with blue for Paradise, red for Inferno, and purple for Purgatory.
The last image from the Paradise set which features an image of an "angel?" appearing to emerge out of a misty background.
